In a strong show of political endorsement and grassroots approval, the Yungur Councillors Forum has named Hon. Emmanuel Kefas as “Leader of the Year,” citing what it describes as his unwavering commitment to leadership and impactful service delivery to the people of Song Local Government Area in Adamawa State.

The Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Musa Payadan, made the declaration during a special event held in Dumne to honour the lawmaker. He praised Hon. Kefas for what he called exceptional representation, noting that his performance stands out in the history of elected officials from the constituency.

According to Payadan, the recognition is based on Kefas’ consistent support for grassroots governance, his engagement with community structures, and his contributions to the development of the area.

Established in 2002 and reorganised in 2014, the Yungur Councillors Forum said the honour also reflects Kefas’ dedication to strengthening the union and promoting good governance.

The Forum further urged him to seek a second term in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in his leadership.

Both the Chairman, Hon. Musa Payadan, and the Secretary, Hon. Adamu Eli, described Kefas as a true grassroots politician who has delivered tangible democratic dividends to his constituents.

In his response, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas expressed appreciation to the Forum for the recognition, pledging to continue working collaboratively with stakeholders to advance the development of Song Local Government Area.

The event was attended by key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Song, with the Forum calling on the public to sustain their support for Kefas ahead of a possible second-term bid.
